“INNOVATIVE…TAKES THEATRICALITY TO DELIGHTFUL NEW EXTREMES.” - BROADWAYWORLD

Critics rave: “INFECTIOUS! Takes a massive swing and lands right into a thrilling new world.” - When The Lights Go Out

Based on Disney's epic animated musical adventure and Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Tarzan of the Apes, Tarzan features a dynamic, heart-pounding, Oscar-winning score by rock legend Phil Collins and a book by Tony Award-winning playwright David Henry Hwang.

This bold, immersive reimagining directed by Area Stage’s award-winning Artistic Director, Giancarlo Rodaz, follows a young man raised by gorillas as he struggles to find his place between two worlds, with hits like “You’ll Be in My Heart,” “Son of Man,” and “Two Worlds” bringing the story’s heart and adventure vividly to life.

Area Stage’s production offers a thrilling, immersive theatrical experience that fuses high-energy storytelling, audience immersion, and the emotional journey of discovering where you truly belong.
