Area Stage Company proudly announces their next Conservatory (student) production: Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka Jr. at the ASC Black Box Theatre in Sunset Place. ASC’s Director of Conservatory Education, Rebecca Ashton, directs and choreographs this wondrous production which will be performed by students, ages 6-17.

For over 50 years, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory has captivated audiences in a world of pure imagination. Featuring the enchanting songs that you know and love from the 1971 film, in addition to a host of fun new songs, this performance is a scrumdiddlyumptious musical guaranteed to delight every audience member's sweet tooth. 

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka,  world-famous inventor of the Everlasting Gobstopper, as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. This production will feature innovative, in-the-round staging, and a new, modern take on the charming tale that has been a worldwide favorite for decades. 

All COVID regulations will be complied with. Masks are encouraged at all times while inside the theatre. Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit.
