We would like to thank everyone who attended our Inclusion Theatre Project Tribute Ceremony, honoring the incredible work of ASC’s students of all abilities which took place at our Black Box Theatre in Sunset Place, Tuesday, August 17th, 2021 at 7:30 pm. It was an extremely successful and inspiring event highlighting the importance of inclusive and equitable arts education.
The event included a check presentation granted to ASC by the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities by Senator Ileana Garcia and Representative Demi Cabrera, followed by a touching and impressive presentation featuring our ITP students with unique abilities.
The event opened with soloist and ITP student, Elizabeth Bales performing “‘Never Enough’” from The Greatest Showman. Following that, there was a special screening of highlights from ITP’s Spring virtual production, Moana Jr. The event concluded with a group dance piece to “Ordinary Miracle” by Sarah McLachlan.
