Are you—or is someone in your life—a young actor looking to expand their theatrical horizons?
Luckily, there’s something for everyone on offer at Area Stage Conservatory this summer, and we are so glad to be able to offer some incredible opportunities for kids and teens looking to sharpen their theatrical skills, make new friends, and have unforgettable experiences they’ll remember for a lifetime.
Students aged 6-12 can hone their singing, acting, and dancing skills in our popular Broadway Bites summer camp, while students aged 3-5 can explore the joys of creativity and self-expression in a new Early Stages summer camp. Finally, students aged 6-15 can enroll in an exciting production of The Little Mermaid Jr. to be performed at our Black Box theatre this July!
Nine one week sessions of Broadway Bites will run from June 12th through August 11th, with students having the option to attend as many or as few of these sessions as they wish. Aspiring actors aged 6-8 are invited to attend a session running from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, with a second session geared towards attendees aged 9-12 to run from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, both scheduled Monday-Friday.
Early Stages classes will be divided into two sessions, with the first to be held from June 12th-July 10th and the second to held from July 17th to August 14th. Classes for this program will be held on Mondays only, from 3-4 pm. Finally, rehearsals for The Little Mermaid Jr. will begin on June 12th and be scheduled from 9 am to 2 pm on Mondays- Fridays, to run until July 7th and to be followed by four performances to be held that evening at 7:30 pm, on Saturday July 8th at 2 and 7:30 pm, and on Sunday July 9th at 5:00 pm.
